Fireballs lit up in the darkness of the night, and the sounds of Japanese drums and shamisen reverberated.
Yokai dance and parade through the heart of Tokyo, the city of flowers!

Yes - this is not just an Ondo.
A new form of urban Bon Odori dance was born for the Tokyo Hyakki Yako, a festival of night, monsters and dance.

Its name is──

👘 What kind of song is it? A Bon dance with yokai as the main characters!

This song is a completely original theme song created for the "Tokyo Hyakki Yakou" (Tokyo Night Parade of One Hundred Demons), a large procession of monsters held every year in Tokyo.

However, I didn't want it to end as just "BGM" or "stage music."
The Yokai Shop's goal was—

"A new Bon dance from Tokyo, featuring dancing monsters.
And it's a song of the future that children all over Japan can dance to."

Yokai have now become a part of culture, with their frightening and terrifying aspects.
To make them once again the "leading stars of the Japanese nightlife,"
We brought the spirit of the Hyakki Yakou to life through music and dance.

On the night of the festival, children in yukatas stand under the light of lanterns.
Dance with Nurarihyon and Karakasa Kozou—
Try to imagine such a scene.

In the second verse, all the yokai appear, including "Kudan," "Hitotsume," "Tengu," "Nopperabou," "Nekomata," and "Dorotabo"!
You will be drawn into a world that is like a monster picture scroll turned into an ondo song.

And the best part is the addictive, incantatory phrase:
