When I was a child, the image of a monster was strongly associated with Kitaro.
The anime that was broadcast regularly still leaves an impression on me.
The sight of Medama Oyaji taking a bath in a teacup is very impactful.
If you think about it, from a child's perspective, the sight of Medama Oyaji moving around is
You would probably feel scared or strange,
The reason I don't feel this way is probably because Medama Oyaji's vast knowledge and kindness come through in his voice.
I really think that voice actors from that era were amazing.

So, what about the kids today?
The game Yokai Watch became a huge hit,
At that time, I bought that toy for my nephew,
I once bought a video game for my daughter.
For those of you reading this, the kids were fascinated by it.
I think it's still fresh in your memory.
The character designs are cute rather than scary!
Also, the friendship between the main character and the yokai was charming.
I think I had a strong impression that yokai = friends.

In my house, there is a mysterious phenomenon where things I put down sometimes end up in the wrong place.
We used to call it "Fairy's Mischief",
Since the Yo-kai Watch boom, my daughter has started calling it "the Yo-kai's mischief."

In the past, when people saw something strange happening, they would say it was the work of a monster.
I feel that this is something that hasn't changed even in modern times.
However, nowadays, yokai are also seen as cute and interesting.
It's strange, but perhaps Japanese sensibilities are becoming more refined with the times...
At the same time, the color and shape change,
