Maybe the last article 1 I am a ghost too

It's been a long time, from heaven and earth.
Feeling that I lack the ability to write something coherent, I have been relearning a lot of things, such as metaphysics, quantum theory, neuroscience, fairy tales, and myths, but I am running out of time, and although I am an amateur in terms of research and knowledge, I will write about what I intuitively feel and think in the remaining two days.

We are finally starting to feel the true heat of summer, and once August arrives, Obon will be just around the corner.
Ghost stories and ghosts are a common theme for Obon, but don't you think there's something strange about the fact that, assuming ghosts exist, our first impression of them is that they're scary?

Surely, after living a certain number of years, everyone has deceased loved ones they would like to see again. If, by some chance, there are those who have suffered so much that they appear in a horrible way (although in most cases I don't think they suffered that way), then it is up to us, who are alive and have the wisdom to truly understand their suffering and extend a helping hand, and I believe that we will also be saving ourselves.

However, even assuming the existence of ghosts, there are many stories that seem to be nothing more than superstitions, such as that you should not sympathize with spirits or that you will be possessed by them.

I don't think there are many people who would say that if someone who has been burned in a fire and is in a horrible state asks for help, they should be abandoned, even if it is terrifying.

If the suffering of the dead were something highly contagious and deadly like Ebola, then the prohibition on compassion would be understandable, but such cases are probably extremely rare. At least, I have never seen such a clear and influential psychic phenomenon, and I know a little about things like vibrations in objects and influences in thoughts and dreams.

So why is it that such superstitions are so prevalent in stories about spirits, something that more than half of Japanese people are familiar with to some extent?I think it is probably because many people are unable to look at things objectively, which is why there are not many rational theories that address these issues objectively.

For example, if we understood that nuclear fusion is based on the same principle as stars such as the sun, which give us life and which could be considered our larger mother bodies, then rather than hysterically fearing the risk of handling nuclear material, we could calmly approach it as a matter of getting to know our true nature.

In the case of nuclear fusion, we can perceive it in the same four-dimensional space-time, but in the case of ghosts, it is difficult because they cannot be reproduced under the same physical conditions.

So what is something that, like ghosts, has little reproducibility under physical conditions and is difficult to grasp as a reality? It seems that we have not yet fully grasped the correlation between our own consciousness and minds as living beings and the workings of the machine called the brain. In other words, I am the only one who knows that I have a mind. I use my own mind, which I believe to have one, to determine that other people also have minds. Recognizing ghosts is also a mind whose existence is difficult to grasp, just like ghosts.

Even if something strange were to happen, like a strong dagger breaking on its own with a loud noise without anyone touching it, or if it were to have a conscious effect on a person's mind and body without touching them and not being recognized by the five senses, we could say that it was the work of unknown (or known) energy or particles in the universe. However, in this case, I feel that it is somewhat more explanatory to explain it as a psychic phenomenon caused by thoughts, especially if there is even a minimum degree of consistency in the conscious effect.

I wonder if I myself am a ghost who treats my brain and sensory organs as machines.

My current interpretation is that the brain and sensory organs are like highly sophisticated vessels that summon spirits, including ourselves, and keep them alive.

We recognize the spirits of others through our own spirits. In dreams or at twilight, when certain conditions are met, we feel thoughts, and if that sensation is certain, then it is someone with thoughts. The boundary between oneself and others seems to be essentially vague. The synchronization between one's own unconscious and another's, without even sharing information from the five senses, is called the collective unconscious, but just as there is still no way to physically know that we have minds, there should be no way to prove that galaxies and stars do not have minds. Perhaps what are called paranormal or psychic phenomena are really caused by one's own thoughts influencing matter. However, I don't think that is very important for gods and spirits to be thought bodies. It is well known that living things are a collection of countless cells, but I am myself, not cells.

If our invisible, thought-bearing companions and demons from the fourth dimension were to return during the Obon holidays or other times, I hope we will be able to give them a warm welcome and spend some fun time together.

Thank you so much to everyone at the Yokai Channel.
