To the place of my dreams.

2020.10.31 Halloween day.
When I was a university student, I remember reading "Bessatsu Taiyo" or "Geijutsu Shincho" magazine. "Inabimonogoroku" was published there... I was completely hooked on the fact that it was full of things to point out.
I was excited to hear that a Mononoke Museum was going to open in Miyoshi.
This time, my wish came true (the battle festival that I usually attend was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I thought, "Huh? This is a third bullet... I can go..." ← At times like these, it seems like something is possessing me, or something is coming down from within me, right?) and I went to participate in the Mononoke Halloween♪

Although the museum is small, the exhibits are quite rich and easy for children to understand.
(It was cute to see a nine-tailed fox cub walking around with its parents, who were apparently participating in the Mononoke Halloween event...←I met it again in the evening, so I had a chance to talk with both of them)
My personal impression of Sakaiminato is that it reminds me of the Gegege no Kitaro (black and white) that I watched with excitement as a child,
Mizuki Sensei's Illustrated Guide to Yokai (Even now that I'm an adult, the page about the Icicle Woman still makes my heart flutter...it's so beautiful, it's so scary.)
There is a sense of tension, including a sense of awe.
Miji has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, as seen in stories like Inubou-bi-koroku and Jinmen-soshi.
I was worried about the coronavirus, but I felt reassured because Amabie and the other demons who ward off epidemics were there,
♪ I'm not sick or anything.
…That’s why (laughs)

I, too, have been acting as a sparrow tengu, not a crow tengu. (Together with my beloved Otengu and the crow tengu from Miyoshi that I admire so much♡ and the baby cow demon created by my fellow ayakashi creator Yugen.)
As expected, this year there were a lot of little demon slayers and they were so cute... I almost got slashed a few times (I ran away because I'm a monster! I'm not a demon!)
I was mistaken for a staff member and surrounded by people shouting "Trick or treat!!"
Although I told them that it wasn't the case, we played together anyway.
Wherever the entrance is.
Yokai Watch, Kitaro, etc.
Or even Demon Slayer.
Yokai are always living among us... and the next generation of yokai lovers,
I wonder if the next generation of monsters is also growing up...
The full moon on Halloween day (apparently the first in 46 years)
I thoroughly enjoyed the darkness of Miyoshi town at night.
[Sakuraya Mirage] I've loved yokai since I was a child.
During his university days studying Japanese art history, he encountered Yoshitoshi, Kyosai, and Inubou-bi-koroku. Wanting to quietly carry ayakashi with him in his daily life, he creates handmade yokai.
