What kind of person was Princess Nagakabe?
These hot and humid days are hard for a Yuki-onna to bear...Good evening, this is Chiyo.
The Turtle Princess Contest seemed like a lot of fun.
I also wanted to see Kamehime in person.
Last time, I said that I would like to talk about Princess Nagakabe next time, so this time I would like to make Princess Nagakabe the theme.
I did some research on Princess Nagabe,
The most common keyword is "living hidden in Himeji Castle."
I would like to touch on a different episode.
[Tradition in Maebashi City]
Matsudaira Tomoki moved the Nagakabe Shrine from Himeji Castle to be the guardian deity of Maebashi Castle.
When the castle was destroyed in a major flood and it was decided to move to Kawagoe Castle,
It seems that Princess Nagakabe also prayed for the shrine to be moved to Kawagoe Castle.
However, Matsudaira Tomoki blamed them for failing to defend the castle, and Nagakabe Shrine was left untouched.
Shortly after this, Matsudaira Tomonori died, and it is said that this was due to a curse.
Currently, Princess Nagabe is enshrined at Maebashi Toshogu Shrine.
Enshrined together? Eh, they're monsters, right? Enshrined together? That's how it became.
This makes me want to go to Maebashi Toshogu Shrine...I want to go...
I find this very interesting.
And Kawagoe!
Kawagoe Yokai WalkBut it's the familiar Kawagoe.
I feel like Princess Nagakabe will connect us with many different kinds of connections.
I think I might try going to Maebashi Toshogu Shrine first...
I'm a snow woman, so as long as I can handle the heat...I'll go somewhere this summer.
(I want to enjoy traveling alone for the first time in a while.)
At the same time, I hope to find some interesting stories.
For the time being, I would like to focus on Princess Nagakabe as my personal yokai theme.
So everyone, be careful of heatstroke...
To all you snow women disguised as humans, please don't melt.
