Aizu White Fox Legend 2024 "Okaeri"

【overview】

This time, in order to promote tourism and create excitement at Aizuwakamatsu City's Tsuruga Castle, we are planning a fox procession themed on the legend of a white fox, which is connected to the origins of Higashikurokawa Castle before it became Aizuwakamatsu Castle (Tsuruga Castle). In addition to the spring Oide ceremony, we will hold the Okaeri ceremony, which gives thanks for the bountiful harvest. This time, there will also be a food and drink area and a stage show by Aizu Jyuraku on the Tsuruga Castle grounds.

This time, the event will be held in conjunction with Aizu Festival, the largest event in Aizu. It is expected to be a perfect day for foxes, with armored warriors gathering at the castle and the Aizu Domain School procession.

[Accommodation arrangements]

Guests wishing to stay overnight must make their own arrangements.
Please use accommodations in Aizuwakamatsu city. There are many around Shinmei Street from the station.

[Transportation to the event venue]

Transportation is to be arranged by each participant.

Please make your own arrangements for transportation to Aizuwakamatsu.

<For those using public transport>
From Tokyo take the express bus from Shinjuku Bus Terminal → Oji Station → Inawashiro → Aizuwakamatsu

From Tokyo take the Shinkansen to Tokyo Station → (Shinkansen) → Koriyama → (Ban'etsu West Line) → Aizuwakamatsu

<For those coming by car>
Parking is available at the Tsuruga Castle Park East Entrance Tourist Parking Lot (MAP) is useful.

There is a shuttle bus to Nakanosawa Onsen. After checking out the next day, we headed to Inawashiro Station around 11:00.

We will provide transportation. Please use the train or express bus after 12 o'clock.

[Fox Participation Terms]

- Being a fox (wearing half of a fox mask or fox makeup)
・As a general rule, participants must wear traditional Japanese clothing (kimono, yukata, haori, etc.)

・Mascot costumes are prohibited.

・Costumes that infringe on copyrights such as anime copyrights are prohibited.
・Even if the arrangement is of copyrighted material, anything that would generally be considered copyrighted material is also prohibited.
